Composite Panels

Specifications

Panel Size
The aluminium composite panel can be cut to the customer’s specific size requirements. The average size is 1250mm by 3200mm with 1500mm by 5800mm being the maximum size.

Panel Gauge
The panel gauge refers to the thickness of the entire panel. This thickness can vary depending on the customer’s specifications, with the common thickness being between 4mm and 6mm.

Skin Gauge
The skin refers to the aluminium sheet on either side of the core. This skin is available in 0.2mm to 0.5mm thickness with 0.2mm and 0.3mm being popular for signage purposes and 0.4mm and 0.5mm being popular for cladding purposes.

Alloy
The 1000 series aluminium is the commonly used alloy however the 3000 series alloy can be used on request.

Warrantee
The warrantees given on the aluminium composite panels are dependent on the finishes. APE paint finish has a warrantee of 5 to 8 years whereby a PVDF paint finish can be guaranteed up to 30 years. The location factors however are affecting factors, with close proximity to the ocean decreasing the warrantee lifespan.
